- Never stop on a blind curve. Park only in designated
parking areas.
- Remember that the car going up-hill
should be given the right of way.
- Always stay on the right hand side of the highway,
especially on switchback turns.
- If necessary to stop, set brakes, block wheels with a rock.
- If for any reason someone is in a hurry let them by, it may
be an emergency.
- Low gear should be used for all long down grades. Much better than burning brakes.
- Any place you have to use your brakes constantly use low gear instead. Do not ride brakes or clutch.
- Watch for equipment working against the flow of traffic. Do not straddle grader ridges or rocks.
- If you need to cool the engine, stop and keep the car at fast idle. Never remove a hot radiator cap.
